Grover Cleveland

Honor lies in honest work.”

Grover Cleveland was the first Democrat to be elected as President after the Civil War. He served as President from 1885 to 1889, and again from 1893 to 1897, making him the 22nd and 24th U.S. President. During the first race, he ran against Republican James Blaine, who was criticized for his dishonesty. Blaine was so unpopular that some Republican politicians supported Cleveland instead.
