British Shorthair Cat


The British Shorthair is a cat species native to England. They are playful, affectionate, and extremely loyal. They can prove very good companions for human beings as they are easygoing and placid. These cats come in white, black, red, gold, and silver, among other fur colors.

Adult males can weigh 9 to 17 pounds and adult females can weigh around 7 to 12 pounds. They have a broad chest, muscular neck, strong jaws and a well developed muzzle.
