Amazon Rainforest is a gigantic expanse of greenery and contributes around 20% of the world’s entire natural forest. This rainforest is home to more than 2/3 of the world population of plant species. Just one square kilometer of area can contain more than 90,000 tons of living plants. We can find the world’s unique and most diverse plant species here. The flora of the Amazon contains ingredients used in making herbal medicines. These plants live in a warm humid environment that allows an enormous variation rare in more temperate climates.
