Basketball Hang Time Video for Kids
The game basketball was created by a physical education teacher, Dr. James Naismith in December 1891. He was actually trying to create a game to keep the students active during the long winters. In 1936, it became an official game at the Olympics held in Berlin, Germany. It is widely known as an American sport but the very first pro game was played in Toronto, Canada. This first game was played with nine players on January 20, 1892. Then it has changed to five players in 1898. It is a very popular sport worldwide that is played with a round and orange bouncy ball.
